SUMMER DAY CAMP

CEP & CREATIVE ADVENTURES, GRADES, K-8

FUN. SAFE. PHYSICALLY ACTIVE. EDUCATIONAL. These are just some of the ways in which your child can experience the best summer ever with the Y!

As the largest state-licensed child care provider in Kentucky, we make it our priority to meet or exceed the state standards of safety and quality. In addition, the Childcare Enrichment Program Summer Camp and Creative Adventures do more than just keep your child busy during the summer. Your kids stay engaged all while learning and exploring. This year, your camper has the opportunity to become a cowboy, explore the galaxy, make extra fun food, learn how they are unique, take part in a luau and much, much more. We make learning fun through enriching field trips and weekly, them-based activities that encourage kids to become engaged with science, reading, math and other fun subjects.

We provide flexible attendance options for all campers, including a 1-3 day rate and a 4-5 day rate, and there is no charge if your camper does not attend for the week.

Register for Summer Camp through May 6 and save $20 on registration fees.

SUMMER CAMP KICKOFF/PARENT ORIENTATION

Take the opportunity to learn about how rewarding Summer Camp can be, get to know your camp director and summer staff, learn about exciting summer field trips and activities and take a tour of your Camp site! Each camp location will hold their Kickoffs at their sites.

WHAT'S FUN AT SUMMER CAMP?

The Childcare Enrichment Program and Creative Adventures teaches your child the importance of friendship, creativity, self-expression and making learning fun. In the YMCA's efforts to combat loss of knowledge during the summer out-of-school months, we want to engage your kids in ways that make learning fun.

During Summer Camp, they'll get to have fun with learning, all while making new friends, swimming every week, eating fun and healthy snacks, crafting, staying physically active and engaging in exciting trips in and around the Greater Louisville community, including the Louisville Zoo, the Louisville Science Center, the Muhammad Ali Center, the Frazier Museum and many, many more.

Last summer, almost 1500 children participated in the Camp Readers Program! In addition, all of our Summer Camp participate in a partnership with the Louisville Free Public Library called the Summer Reading Program, a program designed to encourage kids to read by finding books about subjects that specifically interest them. Kids have the opportunity to win prizes while reading age-appropriate material. Time for reading is provided daily at each camp and books are always available.

SUMMER CAMP THEMES

Each of our camp locations independently chooses their themes for each week from the list below. Check out the links to get an idea* of the exciting things we're planning for your child's summer.
