SUMMER DAY CAMP

CEP & CREATIVE ADVENTURES
GRADES K-8
Our summer program offers unique opportunities for campers to develop independence, friendships, a sense of community and to develop their interests and talents. We serve children entering Kindergarten through Middle School.
We have a lot of fun activities planned like swimming and weekly field trips to places like museums, bowling, skating, and more.
SUMMER CAMP KICKOFF & PARENT ORIENTATION
Join us on May 23, from either 6:00-6:45 pm or 6:45-7:30 pm for our Creative Adventures Camp Kickoff and Orientation. Our CEP sites will host their Camp Kickoff and Orientation on May 30, from 6:00-6:45 or 6:45-7:30 pm. Come and meet the summer day camp while picking up your camp t-shirt!
CAMP DATES & HOURS
Creative Adventures Camps hours are 7 am-6 pm, and run from May 28 through August 9. Our CEP & Teen Scene Camps hours are 7 am-6 pm, and run from June 10-August 9, with limited camps running August 12-16.
SWIMMING
All of our day camp sites will swim once a week at our fabulous Calypso Cove Family Waterpark, located at the Northeast Family YMCA. We swim from 9-11 am, prior to the water park opening, so it's just our kids, our well trained staff and the best lifeguards in the business. We ask that you arrive no later than 7:30 am on swim days. The buses will be set and ready to head off for a day of adventure!
Calypso Cove has zero depth entry into the pool, just like a beach! So children of any swim level can play in the water and safely enjoy their day. Fun in the sun includes a lily pad crossing, a vortex whirl pool, water basketball, twin 24' tall giant water slides, Castaway Island (our interactive water play structure), and much more.
FIELD TRIPS
We take 2 fun field trips a week to some of Louisville's most popular and educational venues. We'll get to experience places like the Louisville Zoo, All About Kids, Incredible Daves, Squire Boone Caverns, and the Belle of Louisville. And don't forget about the Louisville Science Center and the ALI Center, paired with numerous trips to local parks.
SUMMER LEARNING
Our camps participate in the Louisville Public Library summer reading program. Kids have the opportunity to win prizes, while reading age appropriate material. Time for reading is provided daily at each camp, and books are always available.
We will also have access to the school computer labs where Y staff are able to assist children in accessing their Success Maker and/or Study Island accounts. These programs offer kids a fun and interactive way to improve academic progress in areas such as reading or math, but still keep children in the summer fun frame of mind.
