CHESTNUT STREET SUMMER DAY CAMP

AGES 5-13

Our camps offer the opportunity to make new friends, learn to swim, and take weekly field trips. Campers will swim once a week and take two additional field trips each week, including bowling, skating, area museums and more. Instructor-led swim lessons will be included and weekly themes will add excitement to a fun-filled, active summer.

SUMMER CAMP WEEKLY THEMES

June 4-June 8: Animal Planet Week: Fun this week will include learning activities each day based on campers favorite pets- dogs, cats, fish, etc. We'll also be sharing even more pet themed crafts and activities and take a trip to the Zoo.
June 11-June 15: Animation Week: Join us this week for activities, recipes, games and projects that revolve our campers' favorite animated characters.
June 18-June 22: Swinter: This week will be a combination of summer and winter fun.
June 25-June 29: Superhero Week:
 Campers and Group Leaders! Time to call upon your Super Powers! UNITE together to conqueror the mid-summer BLAHS! BY completing secret missions and not so secret missions.
July 2-July 6: Stars & Stripes Olympic Week (camp closed July 4th): Each day, your child will learn about the cultures, customs, of nations all across the globe! In addition to on-site Olympic activities, Chestnut Olympic Week will keep your child learning, laughing and loving every minute of summer.
July 9-July 13: Children & Food Around The World: Prepare your passport, because we are ready to go! Campers will experience cultural gatherings, food, customs and how children around the globe enjoy and experience life.
July 16-July 20: Splish Splash Week: Beach sports, water games, hula dancing and more! This week will be filled with activities using one of our greatest natural resources - water! This week is guaranteed to be dripping with fun!
July 23-July 27: Around the World in 5 Days: This week campers will experience music and studying instruments of other countries. Campers will have a blast hearing the music from other cultures and learning about each countries musical instruments.
July 30-August 3: Sports Week: Cooperative games emphasizing the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship are a staple of Sports Week. 
August 6-August 10: Cirque Du Chestnut: 
Wrap up the summer with a jaw dropping touch of Chestnut Street "Summer Fun Camp" version of Cirque Du Chestnut with performances by campers and Group Leaders each day.
August 13 & August 14: Bon Voayge: Join us as we say farewell to a successful summer and get ready to head back to school.

LICENSING

All of our Y Summer Camps and locations are licensed by the state of Kentucky and are eligible for various third-party childcare reimbursements provided by 3-C, Foster Care, United Way, etc. Contracts must be provided at the time of registration to receive the discounted weekly fee.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

YMCA CAMP PIOMINGO OVERNIGHT CAMP

YMCA Camp Piomingo has been providing community, friendship and fun for over 75 years! You'll build relationships and self-confidence while forming other skills too, from horseback riding, rock climbing and swimming to art and drama. We have so many things for you to explore.
