SUMMER CAMP WEEKLY THEMES

June 1-5 - Summer Lovin' - Campers will celebrate every day this week because school's out for summer! Learn, laugh and make friends playing traditional and new camp games this week in our playground, grass play areas, and gymnasium. Learn how to play our favorite camp games like Steal the Bacon, Nine Square in the Air, and more!
June 8-12 - Extreme Mad Scientist - Muah-hahaha, it's time for a little mad science! Campers will think outside the box and inside their very own science lab with this week's activities. Loads of fun and packed with learning for science lovers and non-science lovers alike, this week's ideas will show your child the amazing side of science.
June 15-19 - Imaginarium - Campers will take a walk through their wildest imagination celebrating the spirit of creativity, while improving problem-solving skills and providing opportunities for self-expression.
June 22-26 - Treasure Hunters - Campers will tap into their inner Indiana Jones on a scavenger hunt around camp and downtown Louisville in search of treasures of nature and knowledge.
June 29-July 3 - Ninja Warriors - Campers spend the week with friendly competition completing obstacle courses as Ninja Warriors.
July 6-10 - Art through the Ages - Campers spend the week putting their creativity to work to come up with fun projects that enable campers to express themselves.
July 13-17 - Language Immersion - Campers learn how to create meaningful prose through a variety of techniques like streamâ??of-consciousness writing, games, journaling, free verse poetry, and other forms.
July 20-24 - Comic Con on Chestnut - Let your imagination soar this week and think "outside the box" with fun and outrageous games and hands-on projects. This week is all about exploring and trying something new. Have fun making a glitter relaxation bottle, sensory slime, or marble painting. Join your friends and favorite counselors to solve camp riddles and participate in a camp.
July 27-31 - My Camp's Got Talent - Campers will show their varied talent in unique ways such as Creative and Performing Arts, Singing, Dancing, Skits, Magic and more.
Aug 3-7 - Aqua Adventure - Camp will be a SOAK zone this week! Water week extravaganza will be the best ever as we explore and enjoy all things water! Bring your bathing suit and towel!

LICENSING

All of our Y Summer Camps and locations are licensed by the state of Kentucky and are eligible for various third-party childcare reimbursements provided by 3-C, Foster Care, United Way, etc. Contracts must be provided at the time of registration to receive the discounted weekly fee.

YMCA Camp Piomingo has been providing community, friendship and fun for over 75 years! You'll build relationships and self-confidence while forming other skills too, from horseback riding, rock climbing and swimming to art and drama. We have so many things for you to explore.
